Ingrid's family is saddened to announce her passing at home on April, 28, 2026.
Ingrid was a devoted teacher in the inner city, Winnipeg 1 School Division. She was a lover of all animals particularly horses and was an active member of the HBPA at Assiniboia Downs for many years. She will be missed but lovingly remembered by her family, extended family and friends for her tenacity, resilience, kindness, compassion and willingness to always lend a helping hand.
Ingrid was predeceased by her husband Robert and their beloved son Howard.
Ingrid has been cremated and at her request there will be no service. A private Celebration of Life will be held in her honour.
In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to a charity of your choice.

I am extremely sadden to hear of Ingrid’s passing as I was getting to know her more over the past couple years since reconnecting. I loved hearing of her travels, her life with her husband. I enjoyed hearing of her work as a teacher, students that made lasting impacts, advice on how to live life and raise my son. I especially loved hearing stories of my dad (her son Howard) and similarities we share. I could hear the joy and sadness it brought to her talking about him. She always enjoyed talking about her friends, her horses and how she was able to still get around. I am going to really miss her voice and her stories as it brought me closer to knowing my dad and grandfather. I had not heard of Ingrid’s passing until today. So sad to hear the news. Ingrid was a wonderful person who I knew through the track. I was in horse partnership with Ingrid for a couple of years, and have been friends with Ingrid ever since. ASD has lost another devoted person.
